What else is new? Hurl innuendo and cheap shots at the person who points out a
glaring discrepancy involving possible politicization of a national tragedy by
Times of India or by a contributor to Goanet.

One ought to be seriously concerned whether Times of India editors injected
their own partisanship and ideology into Julio Ribeiro's article by providing a
politically sensational title and adding more than a paragraph infusing
electoral politics into his text.

The original title of the article appears to have been "The Sad End Of Hemant
Karkare". The politicized version of it in Times of India is "The BJP's slander
campaign did not deter Karkare from his dharma"

Here is the politically-charged material inserted into the Times of India
version of the text:

BEGIN QUOTE
One can understand the BJP’s anxiety to obfuscate facts. The revelations during
the investigations have hurt them.

The campaign against the ATS and the attempt to politicise the Malegaon
investigations may help the BJP to win some votes in the coming elections but
they are playing with fire by assaulting the judicial process system. What are
they going to do about the mass of evidence so assiduously collected by the
ATS? And will they encourage fringe elements in the Hindu community to resort
to terrorism, should they come to power? They should think seriously about the
consequences of their ill-conceived adventure.

In the meantime, a truly distinguished officer, Hemant Karkare, is not alive to
suffer their barbs. He has laid down his life for his principles.
END QUOTE

It is really sad to see a tribute to a fallen hero being sullied by such cheap
political propaganda, and I doubt a dignified person like Julio Ribeiro would
ever do such a thing.

Please compare the two versions of the article at the following links:

Please also note that the link www.faithdom.org, provided in the rest of the
post appended below has nothing to do with Julio Ribeiro's article. It is a
Christian dating website.

Cheers,

Santosh
