GOA FOR PEACE Citizens' Initiatives for Communal Harmony has organised a meeting 'Goa for Peace" on 6th December, 2008, at T. B. Cunha Hall from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m... The meeting has been organised in the aftermath of the attacks at Mumbai and the increase in terrorist attacks and communal violence in different parts of India this year, with a view to express solidarity with the victims and to look at ways to ensure that this never happens again.
What peace processes are on? What can we do to strengthen these peace processes? Can peace be about war on terror? Can there be peace without justice? Can terror be addressed without addressing the conditions that are conducive for terror? What has the Government done about the recommendations for peace of its own one-man committee on the Sanvordem-Curchorem riots? What is the distribution of national resources for high profile security as against ordinary security? These are some of the questions that the meeting is expected to discuss. Do come and participate in the meeting. Ramesh Gauns Albertina Almeida Convenors Citizens' Initiatives for Communal Harmony -- (M) 9326137682 "Every flower must grow through dirt." -- Anonymous
