Dear Dr. U.G. Barad,

I am with you on this one. Dr. Samir Kelekar seems to have been wrongly
certified "secular" by Dr. Selma Carvalho, a communal practitioner herself.

The Khandhamal-Orissa issue is more about the fight for the ST tag by a SC
community that has converted to Christianity and lost reservations[for
education, jobs, etc], than about religion per se. No one said Christian life
was easy. Its founder was crucified at age 33 years. In his current state, Dr.
Samir Kelekar would have been spared even in Saudi Arabia from flogging on
grounds of health, mental and physical. No question of spiritual health in
self-proclaimed atheists.

Much as one would have liked it otherwise, the "concerned" Bishop in Orissa
even swore a affidavit wrongly stating that VHP leader Dr. Pravin Togadia had
threatened an "Asti Kalash" procession when the most Indians know that swamis
are buried. The affidavit in the SC has not been withdrawn. Togadia has the
legal .... and moral .... high ground. The lie, even if out of virtuous ecstasy
as in case of Selma, remains on record. Unlike the "Good Shepherd" of the
Bible, the Bishop has left his sheep to the wolves in Orissa and protected
himself in the National Capital territory. Bishop Aldo Camara's example is not
for him. Many Catholics are not really CHRISTians; they would rather crucify a
Simon, the Cyrene.

In the spirit of CHRISTmas.

Dear members,
I'm one of those people who has a very long memory on Goanet. Infact I pride
myself on my memory.
Let us not cruxify someone because we feel like it. He has the right to
voice his opinion, however averse we maybe to that opinion.

Selma
