Dear Goanet Readers After destroying our farms, forests and everything dear to Goa and Goans, Looks like this Govt. Is ready to chase Goans out of Goa and bring In Ghantis.After all, It Is election time now. Place like Canaguinim has not changed for years now with no Improvement of any sort, forget about any employment pportunities.ONGC could have employed quite a substancial number as the employable population Is very small, but these projects are buIit for non-goans on Goan land I don't remember any new houses havIng been built near the sea for past donkeys years.So, I do not understand which houses they want to demolish under the CRZ regulations.All those houses which exist there were buIlt probably before the AnexatIon of Goa.But Hold on, What about all those illegal structures IncludIng hotels whIch are buIlt close to the see! If the govt. wants to go ahead wIth thIs exercIse, then we are talkIng of makIng our Goans refugees by the very people who they have elected! As substancial number of these people wIll be Catholics, will the church stand up and fIght for Its flock or wIll It pretend Ignorance on the pretext that It Is ApolIitical.This Is not about Politics. It Is about Social Justice and Church worldwide has been and Is In the forefront fIghting such Injustices. And What about our so called fly by Night NGOS and other Highly Educated Social Activists whose hearts bled when Baina Beach was cleaned and all their sisters were made homeless overnight!
