Sometimes a fundamentalist outfit like the Ram Sene makes a fundamental mistake. That they did when they attacked a group of women regardless of religion. I'm sure they didn't expect the uproar they would create, that too from the exact vote-bank whose support they hoped to elicit.
Now, one can attack as many Muslims as one can in a rampage, one can burn as many churches or make as many Christians homeless but not one party will come out and label the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti or Bajrang Dal or RSS, as criminals and think of banning them from their states. That ire and indignation is reserved only when one's own kith and kin is put in a precarious situation.
