Shrikant did not personally abuse Marshall or any other private citizen in his post. Whatever his political leanings might be, I have never seen Shrikant Barve abuse or slander anyone in any Goan forum. In fact, he did not even abuse the PM, a politician and an elected public figure, not subject to the same restrictions against public criticism that a private citizen enjoys. Shrikant simply raised a question. The answer to his question could have been "No our`PM is not a liar". That is the answer I would have given him. I happen to believe that Manmohan Singh is one of the best prime ministers of India we have had. It would be a disaster if Advani or some other religious chauvinist became India's prime minister. However, that is not the answer Marshall gave Shrikant.
