"Albergue" is a refuge / shelter / asylum. In terms of tourism, albergues are something like - someone correct me if I'm wrong here - backpackers lodgings.
"Asilo" also translates to above. How we got it? Thank the pakles who set up the institution of Assistencia de Provedoria Publica a few centuries ago along with Asilos and Albergues along the years.
