Hi Sapna,

Do read these two web pages by Lilian at
http://lilliandcosta.wordpress.com/2009/05/10/snake-rescue-volunteers-snakebite-treatment-in-goa/

and Nirmal at
http://goawildwatch.blogspot.com/2008/12/snake-rescue-volunteers-in-goa.html

where they have extracted part of the info from the Green Book that I had
written in 2007. If you need additional info, you may mail me back.

GMC, Goa Medical College is the best place to be rushed to in case of
snakebite. Use the 108 service to speed things up.

Have a nice day,

Clinton..

Hello Goanetters,
I tried to get some info on google but nothing came up, so I'm posting to this list. If there's another email forum for this kind of question, please let me know.

There is a construction site right next to my house and the migrant laborers who live in tents there are afraid their children will get bitten by snakes since they've seen many around. My father wants to buy them a lamp so they can see better in their tent area, but I thought there might be a better solution.

Please let me know what you think and also, if you know the best place for snake bite treatment - we've heard not all hospitals are equipped with antidotes?

Thanks,
Sapna.
