Narvekar alleges Goa soaked in corruption

With reference to the article on herald by Herald Reporter "Narvekar alleges
Goa soaked in corruption" PANJIM, JULY 22, it reminds me of the saying "pot
calling the kettle black" not that any of them are knights in shining armour !
Thanks to our politicians and bureaucrats, Goa has been declared one of the most
corrupt state in India, and there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that it is
true. I don't think there is a single MLA or bureaucrat that has not contributed
one way or the other to this crown of acrimony placed upon Goa.

Narvekar, a person whose shoulders and chest would have no more place left for
medals of dishonour, soaked from head to toe by allegations of sexual
harassment, corruption and misappropriation of funds, has the grit to label
others corrupt, not that there is anything wrong in his claim, but it's audacity
at it's best. It's out of my reasoning as to why the BDO was singled out for all
his praises because corruption is become a franchise of all our politicians and
bureaucrats, be it the Talaties or Secretaries at the Panchayats , peons to the
Councilors at the municipality, and employees of all public sectors including
our judiciary but the cream is definitely taken by our Politicians followed by
our Police.

If the lawmakers themselves are gross tentacles of corruption what can one
expect from the rest ? Corruption is a parasite that has weaved its massive web
in and around our society and it's strangling us to death, with no efforts being
made whatsoever for revival, and we Goans are to be blamed for it all, we
encourage corruption with our illegalities and bribes to get things done faster
and illegally and in the bargain fall prey to the unscrupulous politicians and
bureaucrats. If we are legally right we have the RTI act that empowers us to act
against erring bureaucrats and officials and thus curtail corruption.

My humble request to all my fellow Goans, let's work together to make Goa
corruption free, I know it's a long ask , near to impossible but if we are
committed we can do it, let's try to uproot this evil and do away with it by
being straight ourselves and electing clean and incorruptible people to govern
us.
