The Goa inquisition has at times been used by fundamentalist groups to create communal discord so it is a sensitive issue but one that still needs to be investigated; moral accountability for the past is essential to moving ahead. One historian who has written a book about the Goa Inquisition is A. K. Priolkar. Was his work coloured by his own political ideology?
