As far as I, along with goasuraj is concerned, the medium of instructions has nothing to do with asmitai, culture, loss of jobs and all other high flying fundas. The basics is that the 'rural kids' should not be made to learn another alien language to understand what is being taught to them. That would not be learning but confusing the budding minds. However, as they learn to learn, they may be tutored to be proficient in any other language ...... even greek for all we care.
