If a minister is kicked out of the cabinet for corruption then he should be kicked out of the Membership of Legislative Assembly for the same reason. Strange are the laws of the country. btw, who is the dirty corrupt minister? === PANAJI: With the opposition to continuation of two “tainted” ministers in the cabinet led by Mr Digambar Kamat growing in the Congress party, there were indications that they might be dropped from the cabinet soon after Ganesh Chaturthi festivities.
According to sources in the Congress party, a senior minister belonging to the party that was accused of demanding a bribe of Rs one crore from the owners of an industrial unit that is located in his constituency to allow them to reopen their closed unit in South Goa has been ordered to be dropped. The sources further said that the central leaders of the party, with whom the complaint was lodged by the management of the unit, have expressed displeasure over the minister’s activities. The central leader s of the party have directed the Chief Minister to remove the minister from his cabinet at the earliest. Sources in the Congress party also said that there was also intense pressure for removal of Transport Minister, Mr Ramkrishna Dhavlikar for his alleged role in going ahead with the controversial decision to implement high security registration number plates for vehicles, which was being opposed by the party as well as the opposition, besides general public. The sources further said that some senior Congress leaders also want action against the two ministers and since the high command has given go ahead for dropping of the ministers, the Chief Minister was likely to not only drop them and bring two Congress leaders to replace them but also reshuffle the portfolios of his cabinet colleagues, an exercise that many feel was long overdue. http://www.navhindtimes.in/news/goa-news/2279-2-ministers-likely-to-be-dropped-soon joego...@yahoo.co.uk for Goa & NRI related info... http://in.groups.yahoo.com/group/GOAN-NRI/ For Goan Video Clips http://youtube.com/joeukgoa In Goa, Dial 1 0 8 For Hospital, Police, Fire etc
