Indeed, the coconut palm framed Goan road is as much a part of Goan heritage as the famed mansions of Goa, and as much a part of the tourist package as the beach. I too have noticed for sometime that the coconut trees are simply disappearing. Given that it is a part of the charm of the place, it seems logical that the Tourism Department tke the initiative to get these trees replanted across the State, even if only for aesthetic reasons.
