The introduction of a Goa - Patna train seems to have contributed to the spread of NGO flu in some of Goa's publishing houses. The flu has spread from Campal to Sant Inez. The main symptoms being coughing and sneezing due to NGO allergy. One could not stop sneezing yesterday that NGOs are to be blamed for not preparing village plans. Since when are NGOs required to take on the role of the Gram Sabhas? And then almost in a bout of severe coughing we suddenly have NGOs being criticised for demanding powers to the panchayats which are acting irresponsibly. If this is so, then perhaps even the 50% representation to women in panchayats needs to be reconsidered because eventually it is the man who rules through the woman. So from casinos to village plans, it is the NGOs who are responsible according to those who suffer from NGO flu. Tamiflu is not going to work because the strain of flu spreading in Goa is a mixture of bihari and goan. Probably the NGO irritation dioes not let them sleep at night and they suffer from convulsions while writing their edits.
