The high lights of the three days Exhibition of Medicinal Plants and Seminar on
Ayurved held at Goa Science Centre on Sep. 19, 20 and 21, 2009, were the
presence of the ethnic folk healer Ram Shanker Gavalikar who learnt the art of
finding medicinal roots and herbs in the forest and using them for treatment
from his mother and grandmother.
Ram Shanker Gavalikar runs a 'Bhajee wada pau stall' at Valpoi for living.
