Are we creating terrorists?

The bomb blasts at Margoa are an unfortunate development. The involvement of
the Sanatan Sanstha, is suspected. This prima facia seems to be the case. The
bomb that exploded was on a scooter belonging to a Sanatan member and two
members of Sanatan are dead due to the bomb blast. However, it is also true
that the investigating agencies over the last one week have nothing close to
any concrete evidence to indict the Sanatan Saunstha. At any rate none has been
disclosed.
Ravi Naik Goa's Home Minister is also on record that two more bombs were found.
But no information about these bombs has been disclosed.
The Sanatan people have generally cooperated with the investigating agencies.
It had raised objections for things being taken out from there Ashram without
a panchanama but that is only fair.
In 2007, the Sanatan Sanstha, among other organizations was also accused of
carrying out the Thane and Vashi bomb blasts. But the Maharashtra police has
not filed any charge sheet against Sanatan for their involvement in those cases.
This leads to the question – is it correct for accusations to be made against
any organization without concrete proof?
The Sanathan Sanstha is a cult like organization. Many families who part with
10 to 20 percent of their family income to Sanatan. They do this for achieving
Moksha at the earliest as per Sanatan Ideology of 'Kaliyug’ .
Sanatan has openly objected against bad features of all religions, castes, and
other organizations. According to them, 'durjan' (bad men) are those who do not
perform their duty. Information about this sect is all available in their books
and website.
There were at least 150 members at Ramanathi Ashram. Sanatan is active in
Maharastra, Goa, Karnataka and other parts in India as also in US, Australia
and UK. There could be around 5000 families connected to Sanatan.
It is true that the Sanatan activities are like those of a cult. But that does
not mean that they do not have the right to practice their way of life. Right
now there is a hate campaign going on against them in the media. Think of the
psychological effect on the minds of the youth from families who belong to the
Sanatan Sanstha when they read the propoganda agaisnt them in the main stream
media.

These youth who are close to Sanatan ideology are vulnerable in that they may
become prey to being recruited by real terrorists, as a reaction against the
hatred they are facing. Are we sowing the seeds of terrorism in these minds? My
plea to society is that an entire sect should not be condemned without any
proof and hysteria should not be fanned against them, just because some
politicians may want to settle scores with their opponents.
