Dear Arwin,

You've said this very well.

The damage that is being done by mega projects are going to destroy all the
Goan villages and the Goan way of life and there will be no turning back.
Unfortunately we know who are the people supporting and sanctioning these
anti-people and anti-Goan projects. They do it after receiving massive
kick-backs and bribes and that's why these politicans and their supporters at
the Panchayat level are backing these anti-Goan projects and betraying us
Goans. They don't even care as they are blinded by their insatiable greed.

It's time for us to speak out against these project and preserve our Goan
villages as the Government and these politicians are ready to break each and
every rule in the book.

Is there any group or Organization on this forum that will help to rally and
support our Goan villages and our Goan brothers and sisters?

Intimidation and harrassment has become the order of the day to silence the
voice of the Goan people. Our Goan people should form a unified effort to stand
up and have their voices be heard. Just like Sebastian Rodrigues through
GAKUVED and his support for anti-mining efforts we need to have a unified
effort for Goans in all villages of Goa to stand up against this tyranny and
greed and the destruction of our Goan villages brought about by these
mega-projects.

*Subject: Anti-Goan Chicalim VP defends mega project at Alto-Dabolim*

As reported recently in the press, the Chicalim VP is defending the mega
project at Alto-Dabolim. Goans must take strong objections and oppose the
Anti-Goan Chicalim VP. The GBA & the Chicalim Village Action Committee
(CVAC) needs our support/voice, to stop another monstrosity coming up in
Goa. It is surely disturbing to note that Sarpanch, The Former Sarpanch and
their corrupt colleagues are ignorant of the negative effects of these
approx 600 residential units, on the area!! They claim that people opposing
the project are fighting for their self interests; I am sure that many Goans
will agree with me when I say that, actually these Anti-Goans themselves.
Have bigger financial/commercial stakes in supporting this destructive
 project!! The Sarpanch claims that it is for the betterment of the village;
I would really like to question how? Surely the Sarpanch should know by now,
with so much awareness on the issue; that mega-projects like the one, he is
supporting will make the village and its residents a non-entity soon!!
Donating a garbage truck and vested promises of development are not
arguments for betterment of a village!!
