How do you like this can of worms? Major conflicts of interest stain the
science and the scientists and the politicians behind the efforts to control
global warming.

We have always known that Al Gore is as arrogant, dishonest and crooked as a
winding mountain road, which is why he refuses to debate anyone on climate
change. His movie, An Inconvenient Truth, carries a High Court ordered warning
at British high schools that it contains nine documented errors and is clearly
a propaganda film.

Now we find Rajendra Pachauri, his co-conspirator, is also up to his eyeballs
in intestinal waste products.  These two politicians have been pushing
self-serving policies that benefit them personally while fudging the science
behind their alarming claims, where like minded scientists took an uncertain
correlation between CO2 levels and global temperatures and have construed it as
a cause of climate change.

There is nothing in basic science that says that 0.039% of a clear plant food
like CO2 can magically turn the entire atmosphere into a greenhouse.  Yet,
their claims have garnered millions in research grants and questionable
behavior by major scientists who were recently exposed by a whistleblower of
conspiring to manipulate the data and deliberately exclude the opinions of
dissenting scientists.

Normally, ethical scientists never allow scientific discovery and opposing
views to be discouraged or shunned as has happened for decades in the climate
change arena.

This entire climate change infrastructure has been sullied - which is why we
have seen global temperatures DECLINE since 1998, while the alarmists are
becoming even more hysterical and strident as they realize their credibility is
slipping away just as they thought they were succeeding in getting the whole
world to agree with their drastic conclusions.

Even the US president was unable to use his previously lofty office to get the
climate summit to succeed.  This is the second world event that Obama has
failed at.  Normally, a US president never goes to a world summit unless the
groundwork has been successfully completed and an agreement finalized prior to
the summit.  Why?  Because the world depends on a US president with some
gravitas and credibility - which Obama has completely dissipated in less than a
year.  It will all have to be painstakingly re-built after he is gone.  We can
only hope it will not all blow up in our faces with some major international
conflict caused by an emboldened enemy of America or Israel.

Excerpt:

No one in the world exercised more influence on the events leading up to the
Copenhagen conference on global warming than Dr Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of
the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and mastermind of its
latest report in 2007.

Although Dr Pachauri is often presented as a scientist (he was even once
described by the BBC as “the world’s top climate scientist”), as a former
railway engineer with a PhD in economics he has no qualifications in climate
science at all.

What has also almost entirely escaped attention, however, is how Dr Pachauri
has established an astonishing worldwide portfolio of business interests with
bodies which have been investing billions of dollars in organisations dependent
on the IPCC’s policy recommendations.

These outfits include banks, oil and energy companies and investment funds
heavily involved in ‘carbon trading’ and ‘sustainable technologies’, which
together make up the fastest-growing commodity market in the world, estimated
soon to be worth trillions of dollars a year.

Today, in addition to his role as chairman of the IPCC, Dr Pachauri occupies
more than a score of such posts, acting as director or adviser to many of the
bodies which play a leading role in what has become known as the international
‘climate industry’.
