At the time of applying for a visa to India or PIO card or OCI card by the persons who have ever held Indian passports, submission of proof of having surrendered their Indian citizenship is a mandatory requirement without which services may not be provided. *Attestation*: As per the advisory issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of the State of Qatar, the Embassy of India will not be able to ratify any type of papers or official documents unless they are attested by the concerned authorities and the Ministry of External Affairs in India.*
