Very interesting! Do the experiences of others bear out what Domnic suggests? Also, is Padri Bhas more prevalent in Bardez ... or is the Padri Bhas dialect of Konkani a mix of Bardeshi and Sanskrit terminology (needed to express theological constructs which are often absent from the spoken language)?
