India's Banishment of Hussain is a tragic affair motivated more politically than anything else. Hussain is an artist and just like many well known artists has produced nude portraits of various subjects. The Roman were not offended to see their gods in the nude and which one of us was born fully clothed? Have we become so narrow minded in our outlook that we cannot see art for what is? One should therefore be appalled by the statues of King David and Other Roman Generals like Caesar who are portrayed nude or nearly in the nude and showing their genitals. What have we become? Are we moving forward or are we sinking back into an intolerable society? Why blame the Muslims for being extremists when we ourselves are portraying our intolerance in its ugliest form.
