** Note: Please do not cc when posting to Goanet. ** Dear Roger,
Thanks for taing the initiative. Together Everyone Acheives More is the T.E.A.M. spirit we need. There has been some success at T.E.A.M. work with GBA as the FACILITATOR. However, ego, conflict of interests and vested interests are the bane of Goa that has given it separate identity to be exploited by others since 1967, Land to the Tiller Act that has almost ended all tillage of the land and an Official Language Act that is not even implemented for publishing the Official Gazette. Now we have 'Flying Squads' that remain grounded for want of instructions and a Regional Plan 2021 that seems destined to be released in the horizon year of 2021 ...instead of having been published in 2001 for implementation. Unless there is a concerted effort, our Government and the Opposition parties, together with the Miners and Builders will keep taking us for a ride ...without any vehicle!! Mog asundi Miguel PS There are TWO ladies by the name of Carmen from Loutolim. One is the resident Ms. Carmen de Miranda and the other is the NRI Carmita. It is the latter Carmen Miranda [sister/cousin of Mario Miranda], who went to Delhi and Kotagir-Nilgiri to appeal with MoSEF, Mr. Jairam Ramesh about moratorium on mining in Goa. The former is active with the anti-SEZ campaign in Verna-Loutolim plateau.
