To all ex-students of Sacred Heart High School, Parra. Sacred Heart High School which is one of the oldest English medium schools was founded in 1912 by Late Walter D' Souza who was in turn succeeded by his brother late Ligoury and in turn his son late Archibald. The school was a cradle of English education and not only gave a head start to many a Goan in diaspora, but also can boast of alumni who could be ranked amongst the elite of Goa and diaspora.
Among some of the famous personalities who attended school there are late Justice Tito Menezes, late Mr M. S. Talaulikar the mining magnate, Mr. Shantu Bharne, prominent businessman, late Leo Gama former Public Prosecutor, late Fr. George De Sa s.j. and so forth. Among the famous teacher of that time are Late Gundu Amonkar the father of Padma Shri Suresh Amonkar, Mr; Kenkre, Mr, Mathme, Mr. S. Sirsat, Miss Martha etc. It is proposed to have the Centenary Celerations during the academic year 2011 - 2012. The plans are in the process of being finalized and will be published in due course. We, therefore, appeal to the ex-students who are spread throughout the world to contact us by sending the undersigned if they wish to associate themselves in any way with the centenary celebrations, by sending an email giving a few details about their names, their contact information, and the years in which they studied in the school..
