Jason, I did notice the unusual number Rs 50 crores per day but discounted it as a typographical error. However,we must not lose sight of the larger picture, == COMMENT: a: If Marshall had in fact noticed that outrageous figure, and he was a fair and honest person, he would have pointed it out AND made the above comment (relative to the 50 crores per day) in his original post. b: This is specially so as Marshall is one of those chaps (Selma another with her "entire generation of Hindu Goans" comment) who has been known to be exaggerating 'facts' (if present at all). c: Marshall should ( at least now) realise that 'the larger picture' usually gets ignored - when exaggerations are made. d: This statement has been published and republished - in the name of Justice Saldanha - and yet NO correction has been forthcoming. What is the deal? Is it too difficult to acknowledge that we all can make mistakes? e: Of course, I am not so sure (even) that Justice Saldanha allowed a letter to go without many folks reviewing the letter. Now, whenever a letter purported to be from Justice Saldanha is published, I like the 500 billion Indian Christians will wonder, if the contents are accurate or "Justicified". ps: If the figure '500 billion" is incorrect, please discount it and look at the larger picture. jc
