The "Know Goa Programme" is formulated for the benefit of youth of Goan origin who are not Indian Nationals and have had no opportunity to discover their roots in Goa and in India. Should your children be interested in attending this programme, kindly arrange the application endorsed by your respective Goan organisation and then attested by the Indian mission in our respective states i.e. Victoria, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane et al. The programme is to be held from November 28 to December 12, 2010 for the benefit of youth of Goan origin who are not Indian Nationals and have had no opportunity to discover their roots in Goa and in India. It is intended for students and young professionals in the age group of 18 to 28 years who have distinguished themselves in various fields and who have shown an abiding interest in Goa and in India. The participants will be taken to educational, cultural, historical and industrial places of interest, besides interacting with local youth and elected representatives of Panchayats, Zilla Parishads and Municipalities and will meet State and Central Government officers, They will call on the Governor of Goa, Chief Minister, Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly, etc. The programme also includes a visit to Delhi. The Government of Goa will bear the cost of travel from their home country to India and back as well as cost of all local travel and accommodation. Full hospitality will be provided. A short brief including terms and conditions is attached. May I request you to kindly give this programme full publicity among the Goan diaspora in your country, including the local Goan Associations.
