Cheers Floriano :-) . Outside of that comment, it appears that Mr. Lalit Banot also was not aware that paan-spitting is unique to India (comment by media "show bathroom sinks full of dust and stained with an unidentifiable reddish-brown liquid" - see photos 5 and 6 at http://au.sports.yahoo.com/gallery/-/8006969/0 ). At least this aspect should have alerted organisers to forbid such habits in the vicinity of the "village". (PS just noticed these pics plasterd on pg 5 of "The Age")
And again, stray dogs (sorry to bring this topic up again after that lengthy discussion) seem to be "kings" - see the pad marks on the bed, and at least one seems to have left its trademark pee/poo on a bed. This might be fine for dog-lovers, but not for anyone else. Perhaps it is high time to rope in the armed forces, who with their "discipline" might be able to perform the much-needed clean-up drive in 3 x 8hr teams ... ----- Original Message ---- > From: floriano <floriano.l...@gmail.com> > To: goa...@goanet.org > Sent: Fri, 24 September, 2010 12:14:21 PM > Subject: Re: [Goanet] CWG Delhi 2010--'7' Years and not yet ready? > >Whereas, I am proud to be a GOAN FIRST and then a reluctant Indian who is the >butt of public shame of the world vis a vis the statement made by the Gen. >Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the CWG Mr. Lalit Banot re: Hygiene - >Western V/s Indian. i.e You use Toilet paper, We use our hands.
