The Ashok Chakra of the Mauryan empire symbolizes power. Unfortunately in Goa it has all the wrong meaning, the denigration of Goan society since 1961 is evident along these 50 years of an impotent and communal rule. The stone was illegaly placed by the illegal government of MGP in the late 60's. Then there was already an attempt to deface Goa and Goans by this communal artists. Today Goa is still faced with some of its remanants called the deshi premi. Unfortunately Goans are not radicalized to combat these elements. They want to solve this problem with a bag of stones rather than mortar rockets.
