JCI St. Inez will be commemorating the birth Centenary of Goa's celebrated Poet Bakibab Borkar by organizing the following competitions for children up to St X:
1) Child Art: (Topic- Portrait of Poet Bakibab Borkar or My Goan Land), 2) Poetry Competition(Poetry may be in any style, 24 lines maximum) & 3) Essay Competition(Topic - Bakibab, my Inspiration, or My beloved Goa, or The need to preserve Goa's beauty & Identity). Entries may be submitted to Shree Mahalaxmi Temple Hall, Panaji-Goa by December 18th. A Solo Poetry Recital/ Singing competition will also be held on 21st December, 4 pm, at the Directorate of Museum Hall, Patto, Panaji where children are invited to recite/ sing any poem of Poet Bakibab Borkar. Spot Entries will be accepted. On the occasion, JCI St. Inez will felicitate Artist Nagesh Sardesai in recognition of his exemplary contributions towards Art and Culture.Prize distribution of the Centenary Programme will be held thereafter.
