'Ex-IGP to pay for vehicle repairs' TNN, Dec 15, 2010, 05.19am IST
PANAJI: Chief secretary S K Srivastava said at a press conference on Tuesday that the expenses incurred on repairs of the police vehicle which was in an accident while being driven by ex-IGP K D Singh's son a year ago would be recovered from him.
As per information furnished under the RTI, it was stated that the Goa government had given financial and administrative approval for the repair of the vehicle. The government has sanctioned ` 4.33 lakh towards repairs of the Toyato Innova. The government had decided not to recover the amount from either the former IGP or his son. The amount would instead be debited from the expenses of the police department.
