Old Borim Bridge
More than 3 years ago, I did come up with an idea on
'Save Borim bridge'
It seems no NGOs or heritage lovers interested in this.
Looks like people would only wake up when some
pvt. parties buy the land around it etc

•This bridge was built during Portuguese Rule
(Exact date not known).
It was blown off by using dynamite during 1961 war.
The damaged portion was reconstructed and thrown open again for
public at the hands of then Finance Minister Mr. Moraji Desai.
Due to weight restrictions etc, all the passengers crossed
the bridge on foot allowing the buses to cross empty.
The bridge was in use until 1986 when new Borim bridge commissioned by then Goa
CM Rane.
