I am not sure if any one of you are following the tragedies unfolding in Queensland due to tremendous flooding after weeks of heavy rainfall.
My son spent a year a couple of years ago in one of the houses now totally under water in Rockhampton, given that all one can see of the airport is the control tower. Now we hear of the a tsunami-like flash flood in Toowoomba, and I've just received a notification from our Brisbane office saying that all employees have been urged to go home as the local rivers are expected to rise tremedously in the next few hours. Just to have an idea of the extent of the floods, think an area as large as Germany and France combined. I am sure a great number of our Goan community in Queensland has been affected by it all. Please bear them in mind if you pray, and I'm sure the Red Cross, Salvation Army, the Queensland Govt or any one of your favourite charities working towards the Flood Relief, would welcome your donations. Gabriel.
