St. Anthony’s High School Monte De Guirim staged the last tiatr ‘Ami Soglle Ek’ of the First Children’s Tiatr Festival 2010 organized by Tiatr Academy Goa on 12th January 2011 at the Auditorium of Goa State Museum, Patto, Panaji.

‘Ami Soglle Ek’ stresses on unity among Goans in order to face the divisive politics of the political parties and their leaders in the state of Goa. It highlights the happenings in the liberated Goan society how caste and religion was used by politicians inorder to garner votes. The play sends a strong message that the youth of today, irrespective of caste, creed and religion, must unite inorder to fight against the divisive forces of the times. Marciano Noronha, the director of the play has done a good job as far as direction and execution is concerned. Almost all the artistes acted well but credit of acting excellently goes to Natasha Pereira (Rojin), Rayan D’Souza (Bap’pa), Joana D’Souza (Nancy) and Alisha Rodrigues (Sheela). Mention must be made of the comedian Aloysius Fernandes who acted as Santu and proved his comic histrionics.

The songs were also well selected as they presented solos, duets, trios, quartets, etc and the tiny singers performed well.

The winners of the Festival will be declared today i.e 13th January 2011 at 3:30 pm at the same venue by organizing a special Award Presentation Function. Numerous dignitaries will grace the function and give away the prizes to the winners. On this occasion a comedy musical show directed by Comedian Domnic and Comedian Luis Bachan will be presented. Francis De Tuem, Felcy, Bab Andrew, Andreas, Albert Cabral, etc will also feature in the programme.
