Tiatr Academy of Goa launched its official website
www.tiatracademygoa.com on the occasion of its 3rd Foundation
Day-Sthapnnecho Dis- yesterday (02/02/2011) at the hands of the Chief
Guest Shri. Menino Pires, Director of Department of Information &
Publicity, Government of Goa.
As a part of Foundation Day celebration, TAG organized a small
exhibition of photographs of numerous activities conducted by TAG during
the past two years.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri. Menino Pires expressed happiness
because, he felt, Tiatr Academy is promoting development of tiatr in a
scientific manner. ‘Various schemes for the preservation, promotion and
development of tiatr formulated and implemented by TAG during the past
two years is a concrete proof of TAG’s determination to take tiatr to
greater heights’, he concluded.
Shri. Tomazinho Cardozo, President of TAG, gave details of numerous
schemes of TAG and requested the tiatr artistes and others interested in
organizing tiatr or any activity related to tiatr, to take the benefits
of the schemes of TAG. Sighting example of Children’s Tiatr Festival, he
said that the scheme was a great success which will create love of tiatr
and its songs in the heart of young children.
Earlier Shri. Roseferns, Vice President of TAG welcomed and later Shri.
Victor de Sa, Member Secretary of TAG proposed a vote of thanks. The
function was compered by the Programme Officer Shri. Joy Fernandes.
The formal function was followed by a cultural entertainment programme
in which Comedian Ben Evangelisto, Joana, mimicry king Shri. Sheik Amir
and upcoming singers namely Steffie and Shanaya presented songs, skits
and mimicry to the audience.
