Please forgive Gilbert for being wrong, but there are no Goan King crabs. Most King crabs are found in cool waters (off Alaska, Puget Sound, etc.) and as far as I know are not in the relatively warm waters off the coast of Goa. Even Mrs. D'Souza from Benaulim says there are no Goan King crabs and she knows what she is talking about. Mr. Naik from Ponda told me last month he ate crab once at Baga beach, but it tasted like lobster. George
