Goan musician nominated for IMA award
One of Goa's finest guitar players, Elvis Lobo from Saligao, is one
musician who has been a true ambassador of music for the music loving
state of Goa.
He has performed all over the world with India's greatest ever live
performer Sonu Nigam.
Elvis has also performed, recorded and toured with innumerable
international artistes who visit Goa every year, establishing himself as
an international artiste from Goa.
One of his tunes called 'Smoking Chutney' has just been nominated for
the Indian Music Academy awards, a nationwide search for excellence in
various genres of music.
Smoking Chutney was recorded and produced by Colin D'Cruz in Goa in the
year 2010 and features a smoking hot guitar solo by Goa's guitar player
par excellance.
Elvis is the only Goan musician nominated for this prestigious award.
