I have just finished reading three Goa's English Language dailies i.e. NT; Herald and GT.

And, I missed noticing a single item mentioning the hunger strike ( since last 3 days) by the Kadamba contract employees ( of over 10 years) at the KTC Stand, Panjim, who are asking for job permanancy and hike in their salaries/wages.

However, I got a call from one of GRA's members (Rajan Kakodkar - Margao) telling me that one employee has been hospitalized yesterday and two have been ferried to the hospital today. He asked me as to why GRA has not lent it's support to these striking employees.

Being unaware of this issue, I have told him that the GRA team shall discuss this issue at it's Margao meet today scheduled to start at 4.00 p.m. to decide on the course of action to be followed in this regard.

It is believed that TV Cable Channel 365 is telecasting this hunger strike.
