And I made it all by myself as others did not want to join me as they knew what it was. It took about an hour by bus from Margao and the premium fare was Rs.30 (Via Quepem, Tilamol). Zambaulim Shigmo: It’s a sort of a ‘holi’ celebrations here with colourful powder tossed in the air and painting every men (not women) red, pink & yellow. No men is spared, not even me, I thought I would stay far away and watch the event. Suddenly, at 3.05pm, everybody started tossing the powder in the air , everything above us turned red and pink including my camera and camera case. I was temporarily blind. Unable to capture anymore. And in that many people manually applied colours to my cheeks and neck like they did to all. My head, hands and shirt turned red too. Bought two bottles of Mineral water (Rs.20each) to wash my face and hands. Despite having showers and applying soap more than once, I could not get the colours off my chest. Luckily, my shirt and pant come out clean from the watching machine except the ‘banyan’ which remained stained.
