Dear members of the Cabinet and President Sonia Gandhi,
The current Lokpal negotiations offer us a once-in-a-generation opportunity
to tackle corruption and clean up Indian politics.
I urge you to support the civil society draft of the Lokpal bill which
includes the Prime Minister's office, sitting Members of Parliament and the
Central Bureau of Investigation under its purview, and empowers the Lokpal
to investigate all civil servants and higher judiciary by filing FIR's.
We have waited 42 years for strong anti-corruption legislation -- we will
not accept a weak bill now.
We want our India to become the 'SUPERPOWER' of the world and what is
holding it back is 'rampant Corruption' at high levels.
