The successful applicant for the post of Project Manager will have to recruit, train and lead a team of volunteers to conduct audio and video interviews, conduct interviews themself, edit and upload the output onto a website designed for the purpose, write summary transcripts, liaise with external providers to arrange workshops and training, scope the direction and methodology of the project, undertake archival and field research, undertake all administrative tasks relating to the project, generate publicity, provide curatorial input for a photo-exhibition and collaborate on a publication. They will convene and chair meetings of the core-team. Candidates must be fluent in English with good knowledge of Konkani, and be computer literate. They must be familiar with Goan history and that of its Diaspora in East Africa, have some experience in undertaking research, conducting interviews, managing a team, maintaining a website and transforming raw data into a fluid narrative of the experience. They will work from their own home office without supervision. Salary: UKĀ£ 500 per month plus related travel expenses. The candidate is expected to work 17 hours per week and additional hours required to meet the agreed objectives of the project within its life-time, will be volunteered.
