My condolences, George; may his soul RIP.
I knew him a bit when I was very very young, in Bombay; and I do remember 'see
and hear' him play with his Bombay band. He was then the Toast of the Town. A
great musician indeed.

Little did I know that he was Karachi returned, after partition perhaps! And
now, I know that he is related to you. Small world indeed!

Subject: [Goanet] Micky Correa, RIP

My relative, Micky Correa, (Uncle Micky as he was affectionately called) died
yesterday, age 97. He was well known in Bombay's big-band jazz era and some on
this forum has heard him play at the TAJ hotel or other events. Born in
Mombassa, he also spent time in Karachi and met up with a few Karachi Goans in
Miramar 2 years ago, followed by the Goanetters meet.

May he rest in peace.
