The Panchayat of Ralegaon Siddhi in Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra, India has ,as reported in the English electronic media, passed a Resolution to address "Anna Hazare " as "MAHATMA HAZARE". Resolution passed by local self government bodies under the great Panchayat Raj system of Mahatma Gandhi must be respected(albeit within the limits of their own territorial jurisdiction.)I am a conscientious objector to calling Shri Hazare "ANNA" and will continue to refuse to even call him "MAHATMA". To my mind he deserves the appellation of "ANDA" but in deference to the views of some Goanetters I shall call him Shri Hazare(since I do not know his first name) The next time around the members of IAC may grant him the appellation of PARMAHATMA". Who knows, strange indeed are the ways of the "HIDDEN PERSUADERS". Lest I be mistaken, let me affirm I too am against Corruption, but do not find myself in agreement with the methods used by Shri Hazare and his coterie of former Govt.
