Doha Goans Sports Club (DGSC) to celebrate Goa Day on 18th November 2011.
Following their smashing success of Goa Day celebrations last November, the
DGSC are once again ready to hold their Annual Goa Day Celebration on Thursday,
18thNovember 2011, with greater fanfare, unmatched enthusiasm and grandeur.
This year, the DGSC wants to give more opportunity to young talent. “We do not
want to disappoint anyone and intend to give an opportunity to all the talented
youth on a first come first served basis,” said Rosina Gurjao and Carmen
Correia, DGSC’s Cultural Director and Asst. Cultural Director respectively.
Many youth confirming their participation, have promised to give their best, in
all the performances, says the press release of DGSC. Based on the previous
tremendous success of the Goa Day in 2010, parents have encouraged their wards
to participate wholeheartedly in this year’s celebrations, showcasing their
individual talents, it says.
The Goa Day celebration is the coming-together of the entire Goan Community and
while young talent would be presented, the DGSC also wants to encourage all
Goans, irrespective of age to come forward and use this event as a platform to
reveal their hidden performing talents.
