The Maharashtra govt. cannot stop migrants from encroaching land in broad
day-light and built jhuggis (slums) everywhere in bombay and it would be
foolish for anyone to believe that the Maharashtra govt. will be able to
stop terrorists from exploding bombs in bombay…….in the last 10 years
thousands of slumdwellers in bombay have become lakhpatis under the vote
bank scheme because of free 225 sq. ft. apartments they got which they sold
off for 10 to 15 lakhs and again encroached opens spaces and in areas near
Bandra-Kurla complex some of the slumdwellers became crorepatis…...why
waste time working for 10 hours in some office or factory for a few
thousand rupees when you can encroach land built jhuggi and under vote bank
scheme become lakhpati or crorepati.
All Lay Catholics in India need to take a pledge that from 1st January,
2012 onwards they..…...will demand from the Parish Priest to disclose once
in three months in parish bulletins or church notice boards how church
funds were utilized…..will demand from the Parish Priest to remove from the
church cupboards all the landrecords agreements 7/12 extracts address area
ctsnos surveynos of all the vacant church properties which the church was
in possession of during the last 50 years and disclose in parish bulletins
or notice board which of those properties were given on lease or rent and
which properties have been sold off to builders and what the money recvd
from lease, rent & sale was utilized for……..will demand from the clergy to
reserve 50% seats for catholics in all catholic institutions including
catholic schools……….will demand from the clergy to disclose permanently on
church notice boards the names & contact numbers of members of church
finance committees - property cell committees - catholic school committees
- church committees……will demand from the clergy not to waste time of the
laity with boring sunday sermons..…will stop drinking alcohol......will
persuade those christians who have hindu names to adopt christian names so
that they can reflect their christian religion........will aggressively
apply for government jobs – police jobs – bank jobs – etc etc etc…….will
oppose forcible land acquisition……..will oppose fraudulent & allurement
conversion activities of christian missionaries…….will oppose forcible
conversion activities of right wing hindu groups……….will oppose corruption
in politics & govt. depts……..will support Govt. of India’s two child
policy………will oppose female foeticide/infanticide…....will protect open
spaces mangroves water resources from being grabbed by builders & slumlords.
What a shame not a single Bishop in India opposed the use of the word
Xmas……the Bishops may also not bother if some people start using the word
Xtians to refer to Christians…….but what can one expect from Bishops who
have become more secular than secular politicians………..Jesus Christ – The
only Son of God came to Earth in a human form not just to preach equality –
humanity – morality - peace – justice but also to rebel against corrupt
religious & political leaders during his time……….but today many of our
Parish Priests have gone against the teachings of Christ and have resorted
to all types of illegal & corrupt activities……Many of our faithfuls are
leaving Catholicism because of the rough and rude attitude of our priests.
Many of the priests are acting like Dictators which goes against the
teachings of Christ…….the Pope/Vatican appoints the Bishop the Bishop
appoints the Parish Priest this is completely an undemocratic system……..a
correct system should have been for the local parishioners to select, elect
& appoint the Parish Priest for the Church and the Parish Priests of the
diocese should select, elect & appoint the Bishop for the diocese………whether
the Priest or Bishop is married or unmarried is irrelevant what is relevant
is the Priests & Bishop should be of the highest integritiy, honest,
humble, good and should be prepared to utilize church funds & vacant church
properties for the benefit of local catholic parishioners and reserve 50%
seats for catholics in parish/catholic schools and work according to the
wishes of the local parishioners of the church & the diocese.
Majority of hindu - muslim – budhists - jain - sikh religious leaders are
always seen in their traditional religious dress even when they are
travelling……..but many of our parish priests are seen in their white
cassocks only when they are in the church premises once they go out for
personal work they wear secular clothes like shirts, pants, t-shirts, jeans
due to which they can rejoice in secular freedom without anyone knowing
they are priests.
The funny thing of Indian Democracy is during elections the politicians go
around begging for votes from poor people – middle class people – farmer
people – tribal people – minority people BUT once the Politicians get
elected they start passing laws acts bills rules fsi tdr contracts in
favour of builders lobby – mining lobby – sez lobby – corporate lobby –
traders lobby - industrialist lobby.
EastIndian ( ** www bombayland.blogspot com ** ) community is
Suffering because all their ancestral agricultural lands surrounding their
villages in Bombay was grabbed by the Government, Slumlords, mmrda, BMC,
landmafia, mhada,
collectorsoffice…AND….Alcoholism–Infighting-Jealousy………AND……Driven by
poverty the eastindians ( ** www east-indians com ** ) were unable
to get the requisite permissions for rebuilding their own dilapidated
houses and were forced to barter a floor with the builder in return for one
to live in decently, without giving thought to where the next generation
will reside and without bothering the bad quality materials the builder
will use to construct the new Ground+1 house which will result in monsoonal
problems – leakages problems – walls/floor as thin as paper…AND…daily
consumption of the unhealthy & unhygienic bakery maida pavs…AND…lack of
interest in education…AND…lack of interest in agitating for 5% job quota in
bmc, police, mmrdaoffices, mhadaoffices, rationoffices, collectorsoffice,
citysurveyoffices, town planning dept, urban development dept, building
proposal dept, suburbanrailways, metro, monorail, airindia, ongc, hp,
indianoil, rbi, nationalized banks, bombay/kalina university, iitpowai,
central/state govt. undertakings, public sector undertakings and other
government institutions operating in bombay…AND….lack of interest in
reading the Word of God i.e. The BIBLE.
