And despite the attempts by Congress to wrest the Cortalim seat in the by-polls, I feel certain that Alina Saldanha will step into her late husband's shoes. The sympathy factor will prevail. Why would the BJP, which in Goa at least, is known for the discipline among its party members allow a fringe party under its wing ? All we can do is wait and see.
