The Menace Of Ram Sene

The days of taking law into our own hands are long gone and in this 21st
century it is a crime to do it, the guilty are supposed to be punished as
severely as criminals themselves, that's what the law and our constitution
tells us. Even the hardcore criminals are protected by laws against brutality
by human rights groups. This is a civilized world and it has no place for
self-righteous renegade vigilantes like Pramod Muthalik and menace of Ram Sene.

Sometime back they took upon themselves to be the moral police of Karnataka as
though they themselves were pillars of morality of our society. They did not
fight against prostitution, they did not fight against drugs, they did not
fight against the rising crime nor did they fight against corruption but they
thought Valentine's day celebration was a crime, they thought girls in bars was
a crime, they even think that spending time with the person you love before
marriage in public is a crime. Has the Constitution of India been amended and
our rights and freedom curtailed ?

Not too long ago we saw videos of the brutality of these so called moral police
of Karnataka when girls were dragged and beaten up for sitting in bars and
walking with their boyfriends and those celebrating Valentine's day and as such
Pramod Muthalik and his Ram Sene were barred from entering Goa and rightly so
by the Congress. Goans do not need loose canons moving freely in Goa enforcing
their outdated draconian ideologies.

The Goan youth have reacted angrily and strongly against the Ram Sene trying to
set up bases to contaminate Goa with their extremely dangerous and detrimental
ideologies. It is good to see the youth getting involved to fight for their
rights and freedom. Cancerous cells like the Ram Sene should be treated with
chemotherapy at the inception and negated their advance further across the Goan
border.

CM, Manohar Parrikar has indeed warned the Ram Sene not to take the law in to
their hands but that's not enough as the Ram Sene could be the cause of a very
serious law and order situation in Goa and before that happens it would be very
much prudent for CM, Manohar Parrikar to ban this unstable and highly volatile
and combustible compound from entering Goan soil, as prevention is always
better than cure.

Goa compared to the rest of India, has been largely peaceful and very
hospitable to outsiders but there is a limit to everything and Goans will not
take kindly to outside forces who are trying to force their outdated and
archaic ideologies on Goans. We have lived in unity and peace for centuries,
absorbed cultures and traditions and lived in absolute harmony and it is this
peace, unity, harmony and brotherhood that will be at stake if the Ram Sene is
allowed operations in Goa.

My fervent plea to the CM, Manohar Parrikar, for the sake of Goa and Goans, ban
the Ram Sene's entry into Goa and do not allow this cancer to infect Goa and
Goan. Let Goa remain a union of diversity living in harmony as we have lived in
the centuries gone by. Let Goa be Goa, an amalgamation of cultures, traditions
and history, united in diversity and the likes of Pramod Muthalik and the
menace of Ram Sene can take a hike.
