I enjoyed this article on Goanet, Luis. It was 1978 (probably) and I was on my first holiday back in India from Qatar. Although from Bombay, I always make a beeline to Goa. I waded through the shallow waters to Baga from the Calangute side and stepped in at the Retreat Center atop the hill.
There was I think, Anthony D'Mello giving a discourse on the Christian meaning of life. I forgot all about going to stretch my legs on Baga beach and instead spent an hour or two, listening to him, totally absorbed. Having studied at Xaviers school and College in Bombay, I was no stranger to Jesuit thinking, but here to my mind was a remarkable Jesuit. I am sorry I did not pursue his writings from then on.
