Diocesan schools left out from State working Committee

PANJIM: Not a single Diocesan or religious society school, has been represented 
in the State Working Committee constituted by the state government under the 
Chairmanship Minister for Education for the management and administration of 
the National Foundation for Teachers' Welfare.

">While there are members of the minority community in the committee, the 
diocese which runs the single largest group of schools in the state, second 
only to the government, finds no representation. 

The State Working Committee members include Minister for Education Manohar 
Parrikar, who is the Chairman, Secretary (Finance ) or his representative  - 
Member Secretary  (Education) - Member, Minanath Upadhye - Member, (Principal) 
Swami Vivekanand Vidyaprasarak Mandal, Higher Secondary School, Borim, Ponda, 
Anil Samant (Principal) - Member, Saraswat Vidhyalaya, Khorlim, Mapusa-Goa, 
Sachin Sabnis, - Member Mustifund Higher Secondary, Panjim, Shubhada Sawaikar, 
- Member, HS Velge, Bicholim-Sanquelim Jennifer Pereira, - Member, Bhatikar 
Model School, Margao, Mhalsakant Deshpande, - Member,  St Aloysius High School, 
Diwadi Genesis D'Silva, - Member, Adarsh V V H S, Margao, Director of  
Education, - Secretary Porvorim.
