Indigo Goa Grooves showcases local talent on Indigo 91.9
Indigo 91.9, the only international music station in Goa, in association with
Jazz Goa, will showcase Goa's amazing music talent in a two hour weekly show
called 'Indigo Goa Grooves'. The show will be launched on the 29th of July 2012
and will be presented by Jazz Goa's Colin D'Cruz every Sunday at 5 PM.

The objective behind the show is to promote the enormous music talent that Goa
takes pride in. There are a large number of Goan artistes who perform in Goa
seasonally only to fade away off season. Indigo Goa Grooves will be the first
and only platform to showcase local talent right through the year.

The musicians that will be featured on Indigo Goa Grooves come from various
backgrounds, age groups and musical genres. Bonny Remedios, Yvonne Gonsalves,
Chrystal Farrell and Sonia Shirsat are some of those that represent the more
experienced and accomplished set of musicians. Minelli Pinto a degree student,
Aileen Carneiro a young journalist, Carlos Gracias a school student and many
more will represent generation next on the show.

The music genres covered in the program range from jazz, rock, pop, funk,
fusion, blues, country, R&B and soul all created in Goa! Besides the obvious
Goan and Indian influences the music includes global sounds since Goa is a
world tourist destination and local artistes have been interacting with
international visiting virtuosos to create some great music that will be
broadcast on Indigo Goa Grooves.

Colin D'Cruz has his own recording studio in the quaint village of Sangolda and
most of the music that will be broadcast on Indigo Goa Grooves has been
produced by him. He has actively encouraged local artistes to take their art
form to the next level and in most cases records them for free.
