Nobody is positing the equivalence you cite. The Indian 'liberals' were vociferous about M.F. Hussain's rights to artistic freedom and condemned (rightly, I might add) attempts to intimidate him. The makers of this film deserve similar freedoms but have been intimidated and threatened by the Islamists all around the globe for exercising those very rights that the Indian 'liberals' wanted for M.F. Hussain. These 'liberals' have now curiously gone into mute mode. There's a word for it. (Hint: begins with the letter 'h' and ends in 'y'.) r
