A GOOD ADMINISTRATOR DOES NOT RULE BY VENGEANCE - Shantaram Naik

Mr Shantaram Naik MP said at a meeting of Congress workers today that a good administrator does not rule a state by cruel vengeance and by resorting to transfers even of petty employees by disturbing their family life and education of children.

Mr Naik who met Congress workers of Pernem constituency today to take their views regarding MPLAD projects said that present government is an anti-people government and that people are repenting for having installed this government to power.

Mr Naik said that he has recommended an Urban Health Centre in Pernem, at the cost of Rs 25 lakhs, which is awaiting a few procedural formalities.

Mr Naik during his meeting with Congress workers requested the Self-Help Groups which are duly registered under Societies Registration Act, to come forward and get themselves a piece of land so that a suitable project can be constructed on the project under MPLAD Scheme.

Mr Babu Azgaonkar made a strong attack on BJP stating that it is a government which cares only for higher class. He said that CM is trying hard to save the higher class mine owners by twisting the law but the same CM is not willing to twist the law to regularise the posts of poor people who are due for appointment.

Surangi Harmalkar Zilla Panchayat Member said that BJP Government does not respect congress leaders in the constituency while Congress ruled in Goa BJP leaders were always given due respect in public functions and otherwise.

Youth Congress President of Pernem Shri Sachin Ghodge and Shri Prakash Kamble also addressed the meeting and said that congress workers should be ready to face any situation .

Shri Gurudas Natekar, General Secretary Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, Vijay Pai, Secretary Secretary, GPCC were present on the occassion.
